Chinese Taipei offers USD 100,000 to WTO development programme

The following is excerpted from a 1 November 2012 press release by the World Trade Organization.

Chinese Taipei has donated USD 100,000 (about CHF 93,300) to the WTO Trade Facilitation Needs Assessment Trust Fund. This new donation brings Chinese Taipei’s contribution to WTO trust funds up to CHF 1.56 million.

This donation will finance technical assistance programmes to assess trade facilitation needs and priorities of developing and least developed countries. Trade facilitation looks at how procedures and controls governing the movement of goods across national borders can be improved to reduce costs and burdens. It also allows trade flows to be as efficient as possible.
