ICCWC launches wildlife and forest crime toolkit and secures 600,000 US dollars to strengthen national enforcement capacities

The International Consortium on Combating Wildlife Crime (ICCWC) launched its Wildlife and Forest Crime Analytic Toolkit and announced that it has secured 600,000 US dollars for the current fiscal year through the World Bank Development Grant Facility (DGF) to strengthen national enforcement capacities to fight wildlife crime.

The launch of the Consortium’s Analytic Toolkit and the announcement of the funding for national capacity building purposes took place in Geneva today on the occasion of the 62nd Meeting of the CITES Standing Committee that will run from 23 to 27 July 2012.
