The WCO, with the support of Japan Customs will host the 11th WCO Knowledge Academy for Customs and Trade (KACT) virtually from 29 June to 3 July 2021.
The 5-day academy will be focusing on the development of technical skills for Customs and Trade practitioners, from 12:00 to 15:00 pm (Brussels time) for each day.
This year’s Academy will provide intensive training for Customs and Business practitioners on a wide range of pertinent topics in today’s Customs environment. In order to respond to the demands of a complex cross-border trading system, the WCO will bring together the leading experts in Customs matters. Business professionals, Customs managers and administrators, border agency officials, international organization representatives and academia will benefit from the intensive interactive discussions.
The programme will offer 23 modules in 5 days with two parallel tracks during 4 days covering the areas of Tariff and Trade (Harmonized System, Rules of Origin, and Customs Valuation), Compliance and Facilitation (Trade Facilitation Agreement, Safe Framework of Standards, Single Window, Data Model, E-Commerce, Project COVID, Anti-Money laundering and Terrorism Financing, IPR infringements and Operation Stop), as well as Capacity Building (People Development in Times of Crisis, E-learning, Anti-Corruption and Integrity Programmes and Performance Measurement).
