Board of Directors Discussion Forum - Customs Brokers and Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs)

The Customs Administrations in some countries have special programs for SMEs.  These might be Authorized Economic Operator or other Trusted Trader programs.  

1. How does your country's Customs Administration help SMEs?  Is there a role for the customs broker within these programs?

2. Approximately what percentage of your country's imports belong to SMEs?  

3. Approximately what percentage of customs brokers' business in your country is conducted on behalf of SMEs?
