WCO Secretary General meets new Japanese political leaders

At the invitation of Japan's Ministry of Finance, the Secretary General of the WCO, Kunio Mikuriya, visited Tokyo, Japan from 30 January to 1 February 2013 to meet recently elected political leaders. He also met Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Taro Aso and Senior Vice Minister of Finance Yuko Obuchi.

WCO welcomes International Certificate of Origin Accreditation Chain

During its 31st session in Brussels on 22 January, 35 member countries present for the World Customs Organization’s (WCO) Technical Committee on Rules of Origin welcomed the International Certificate of Origin (CO) Accreditation Chain launched on 28 September 2012 by the ICC World Chambers Federation (WCF).

Items proposed for consideration at the next meeting of Dispute Settlement Body
