Chairman of industrial goods negotiation will explore new ideas for moving forward on tariff discussions

The Negotiating Group on Market Access for Non-Agricultural products resumed the negotiation on tariffs after four years of work on non-tariff barriers, and the chairman, ambassador Luzius Wasescha, of Switzerland, said he would continue consultations with Members in small groups to design a way forward for the negotiation.

WTO launches new database on preferential trade arrangements

After four years of negotiations and a year of work by WTO members on implementation measures and data collection, the WTO launched on 14 March 2012 a new publically available database on non-reciprocal preferential schemes.

Business, trade experts work to break deadlock in global trade talks
